CARE Morocco has been working on climate change and resilience as a cross-cutting theme since 2007. Today, CARE Morocco has integrated climate change and resilience in all its programs. For example, in the preschool education programs, targeted schools are creating pedagogical gardens and are using recycled objects during their pedagogical activities. Moreover, CARE Morocco’s preschool projects are working on resilience. By trainings on administration and management, preschool owners are increasing their incomes and their ability to withstand economic risks.

Additionally, in women and youth empowerment projects, every Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLAs) and cooperative is sensitized to consider the environment in their activities and their capacities are reinforced to be positive change leaders in their communities. CARE Morocco aims to develop people’s resilience capacities thanks to the VSLA methodology and its gender approach.
