Development and humanitarian practitioners within and outside CARE who are interested or involved in climate change and resilience can join the Learning Journeys.
This 16-week interactive training on Climate Change Adaptation combines online courses, peer to peer exchanges, quizzes and assignments. It will help you increase your knowledge on climate change adaptation and put it into practice at the community level. The next journey will start in October 2024!
This 14-week interactive training on climate advocacy combines online courses, peer to peer exchanges and individual and group assignments. It will help you increase your knowledge on climate advocacy and help you get a better understanding of how to put main climate advocacy approaches into practice. The training can be completed with an optional 12-week individual coaching period where you will apply what you have learnt to a project of your choice. The next Climate Advocacy Learning Journey starts in February 2024!
This 14-week learning journey is an online training to familiarize humanitarian and development practitioners with the refreshed CVCA 2.0 tool so that they can become trainers and facilitate successful and interactive training on vulnerability and capacity analysis. The 2022 journey will start in October!
This 18-week interactive training on Green Climate Fund (GCF) combines online courses, peer to peer exchanges and individual and group assignments. It will increase your knowledge on the Green Climate Fund (GCF), critical aspects relevant to GCF, help participants develop the skills required to engage on the GCF in advocacy and monitoring efforts in their countries or internationally, and obtain a better understanding of the provisions and possibilities for designing GCF projects and programmes. Assignments will encourage you to practice what you have learnt and will be as applied as possible to support you in developing ideas for your own transformational GCF programmes. The 2021 journey will start on Monday 18 October!
The Online Executive Training – Young Women Leadership on Climate Adaptation is a virtual capacity-building program that strengthens the leadership of African young women to create climate-resilient solutions.
The Training of Trainers for Youth on Adaptation & Leadership is a 10-week training program, developed by the CARE Climate & Resilience Academy, to strengthen the capacity of youth organizations in the use of the Toolkit for Youth on Adaptation & Leadership.
The CDRFI Learning Journey is a 14-week online training course which gives an introduction to CDRFI and the political processes surrounding it. The training presents conceptual and policy frameworks, laying the ground for CDRFI, and shows how approaches in this context are functioning in practice. It further demonstrates how CDRFI can be integrated in national policy frameworks and provides insight on CSO engagement and advocacy strategies at the national, regional and international levels. Finally, it sheds light on potential benefits, limitations and challenges of CDRFI solutions.
