This brief explains how community rain gauges are being used in Niger to form part of an early warning and early response system aimed at building community resilience.

Aiming to involve users in co-generation of climate information, CARE International’s Adaptation Learning Programme (ALP) in partnership with the meteorological services in Niger have installed rain gauges in 30 communities int he department of Dakoro, Maradi Region.
