This course provides a basic understanding of Anticipatory Action, its role in the Disaster Risk Management Cycle, and its connections to resilience building. It identifies the key components that makeup Anticipatory Action and explains what Gender-Responsive and Locally Led Anticipatory Action is, as well as its importance in reducing the impact of various disasters.

It is the first in CARE’s Anticipatory Action e-learning series, developed under the SUFAL II project, led by the CARE Climate Justice Center and funded by DG ECHO. The project is managed by CARE Deutschland e.V. and implemented by CARE Bangladesh as the lead agency.
